Learning the basic rules of photography is the key to moving out of the realm of a beginner. Learning about the basics, such as the way aperture and shutter speed works improves your photography immensely. The problem is, by simply learning the rules and daring not to venture outside of them it can lead to everything you shoot looking very similar and leave you shooting only with conventions in mind and not creativity. read more...

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two weeks, a little event known as the London Olympics has calmly swept a swift breeze of excitement over Britain. Ok, it’s been more like a frenetic hurricane storm of excitement and exhilaration, with emotions running so high during the medal ceremony for Jessica Ennis that grown men have been seen crying in Hyde Park.
