The successor to the popular D40x, the Nikon D60 comes with a 10.2 Megapixels CCD sensor and an ISO range of 100-1600. The Nikon D60 has a Sensor Cleaning function and a new Airflow Control System to further reduce the risk of dust on the sensor. Able to capture 3fps, the Nikon D60 has a bright clear viewfinder with an Eye sensor that will turn off the 2.5- Inch LCD screen automatically to save energy. The 2.5- Inch LCD screen also has a Vertical LCD Information Display which will tilt the menu when the camera is turned on its side to make taking portraits easier.

With a fast 3 point AF to accommodate off centred subjects, the Nikon D60 is compatible with AF-S and AF-I lenses. The Nikon D60 comes with an extensive retouch menu while the Active D-Lighting retains details in highlights and shadows for stunning images with natural contrast. and can save images in RAW format. New to DSLRs is the Stop Motion Capture which will take photos and stream them together to create videos. Weighing only 495g without batteries and accessories, the Nikon D60 is lighter than its predecessor and still takes amazing photographs.
