Cameras for Party Cats - Sony Cyber-shot WX1 and TX1
21 August 2009

The upcoming products from Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 and DSC- TX1 would no doubt be anticipated by loads of party cats. Going beyond the excellence of the usual Cyber-shot cameras, both cameras come with state of the art features. Furthermore, with the optional Party-shot accessory, they will free you from behind the camera and let you become the star of every party.

Cameras for Party Cats - Sony Cyber-shot WX1 and TX1As top of the range model for the T-series and W-series respectively, the TX1 and WX1 includes the latest features such as Sweep Panorama, Handheld Twilight and Anti-Motion Blur. Sweep Panorama allows you to reach beyond the traditional wide angle lens allowing you to sweep the camera to capture the ambience of different scenes including landscapes. For those social gatherings or parties, you can sweep the camera to capture the whirlpool of people around you. When set to Handheld Twilight Mode, six images are captured in a fraction of second with one press of the shutter to render a final image of improved quality; this is excellent for general low light shooting and just what you would need during an evening out with friends without the help of a tripod. If your friends are too active to stand still for a picture, the Anti-motion Blur Mode still guarantees a good shot as it combines the data from all six images captured to create a single image of extraordinary detail. Both cameras inherit the same Exmor R CMOs sensor technology of the Sony HX1 and you can safely assume high quality at low noise from their 10.2 megapixels sensors.

Cameras for Party Cats - Sony Cyber-shot WX1 and TX1The W-Series has always been known for being feature-packed in a compact body. As the flagship of this series, the Cyber-shot WX1 comes with a Sony f/2.4 G lens which offers an impressive large aperture, at the 24mm wide-angle focal length, for excellent portrait shots. Its 5x optical zoom also ensures that you are never too far from the action when you see someone stunning at a party. With the Cyber-shot TX1, you have the trademark slimness of the T-series with its 14.1mm ultra thin body and easy to use 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus touch screen. With the TX1 in hand, you can be sure of admiration even from those who are hard to impress.

Cameras for Party Cats - Sony Cyber-shot WX1 and TX1With cameras such as the Sony WX1 or Sony TX1, you can't be blamed for enjoying your time behind the camera a little too much. However, to ensure that all the good times include photos of both you and your friends, Sony offers the new Party-Shot Automatic Photographer accessory. The Party-Shot is actually a 'UFO-like' tripod which, by placing the camera on top of it, will rotate automatically and search for shooting targets. What's more interesting is that the Party-Shot will self manage the photo composition based on the rules of thirds. The Party-Shot will rotate and tilt until it has detected people's faces, then it will pan accordingly to ensure that all images taken are natural to the eye.

Loaded with features that will get the most out of any scenerio, you are assured of excellent results whether you go with the great optics of the Sony WX1 or the slim beauty of the Sony TX1. If the party cat in you is looking for a new camera, then the Sony Cyber-shot WX1 and T1 are definitely great choices!
