The premier Canon Speedlite 580EX II is for all photographers, including professionals. The 580EX II has been newly designed to match the high demands of the EOS-1D Mark III by improving dust and water resistance.

A redesigned metal flash foot plate and connector pins allow more stable communication between the camera and flash, while a quick release mechanism minimises wear and tear on both units. Body strength and flash functions and settings can be controlled from the EOS-1D Mark III’s camera menu.

Other features include improved communication reliability through direct contacts and silent recycling, up to 20% faster compared to its predecessor, the 580EX. The 580EX II is completely inaudible and operates in breathtaking silence and speed.
