How to Choose your DSLR camera - Finding Your First

So you've made up your mind and decided you want yourself a DSLR camera? With all that enthusiasm and excitement almost blasting through the roof, you might want to stop there for a second and think about the proverbial hurdle you are about to meet. The one that comes in the form of a question and asks, which DSLR camera should you be buying? Unlike the simplicity of consumer compacts, DSLRs are a completely different breed of cameras which can be very elaborate in its operation. As such, they should be judged and selected differently. The DSLR market presents us with many choices and with such a great variety, where does one begin? So before money gets tossed and commitments are made, here we share with you some words of advice and dish out the major points to consider before finally bringing home that prized DSLR.

Price
Size, Weight and Feel
Pixel and Sensor Size
Lenses
Memory Cards
Camera Features
  Burst Mode
  Maximum Shutter Speed
  ISO Sensitivity
  LCD Size
  Image Stabilisation
  Dust Protection
  Auto-Modes
  Live View/Preview Mode

With so many points to consider, the most important point to remember is to know clearly what you demand from your DSLR camera and which features of a camera appeal to you. Examine these features on a range of cameras and compare them, think about which suits you best and can achieve the results you want. Only then will you be able to buy a DSLR that you’ll truly love and appreciate.
