Si: There is something quite pure about the Leica M9. I love it to pieces because it is, as you say, without all the bells and whistles. And of course the fact that it uses some fantastic M-Mount lenses.

Frozenace: The 50mm ASPH is a really beautiful lens, although it does have a fair bit of weight to it (not quite a Nocti, but it's still significant). It is probably the best performing 50 I have ever used. Silver MP? Very nice...
