Untitled Document

Professional aviation photographer, Mike Jorgensen, is now using DigitalRev supplied Canon equipment. More than ever before, you have the chance to witness the exciting world of aviation through the lens of this experienced pilot and photographer.

Currently working on his first book, due to be published next year, Mike got in touch with us at DigitalRev looking to purchase nothing less than the best photographic equipment. Tentatively titled "Display Pilots", Mike's book will feature information about some of the greatest display pilots from around the world, and exciting aerial photographs of the pilots at work.

There's nothing amateur about Mike's work. He has had bundles of experience and training as a former jet fighter pilot. This coveted status has granted him an exclusive view in the seats of high performance aircrafts, ranging from ex-WW2 fighters, ultimate aerobatic aircrafts and the latest military jets. Aviation photography is the perfect way for Mike to bridge his two passions and he finds that his experience at pulling high-G forces is very helpful when photographing! Soaring heights calls for photographic equipment that can match such demanding challenges and Mike went to DigitalRev to find the answers.

Last year Mike flew with the famous US Navy Blue Angels team in California. "During this demanding and simply awesome flight, I used my new Canon EOS 20D, which I had just purchased from DigitalRev. It was an ideal camera to use in the cockpit, and during the sortie it performed flawlessly. Whilst pulling between plus 8G and minus 2G, in close formation with five other F/A-18 Hornets, I never had to worry about my camera functioning and how it was performing." He recalls, excitedly.

"The smile you see on my face in the self-portrait shot is as big as the beaming grin I had when I received my camera from DigitalRev. I was initially unsure about ordering expensive equipment from overseas, but I need not have worried. DigitalRev continually provided reassuring support throughout my purchasing process and my further orders, and they have always been very competitively priced."

DigitalRev will continue to support Mike in his photography flights, and will update you on his latest adventures. We are happy to have assisted him in the creation of his book.
