Nikon seem to have gone troppo with all the models they have been releasing of late. It seems only yesterday we had models such as the d80 come out and the flagship d3 upgrade followed by the d300 - people are still catching up with the d700 (and I think I would spend the extra $$ to get that rather than the d90). Its getting to the point where we have too much choice!
