Had this model for approx 3 months, my previous model was a JVC mini tapes model. rnThe panasonic is lighter and I find a lot easier to use, the menu is easily accessible and after a few minutes playing around with the functions, it really is simple to use.rnA good zoom facility albeit as you would expect if using the maximum zoom then a tripod is recommended. With a Hard drive recording time of over 5 hours it is good not having to carry spare tapes. The storage modes are a 160gb hard drive or you can store on a SD/SDHC memory card, I store video on the hard drive and still photo's on the SDHC card (I use 8gb Card) The still camera is good as in it is fantastic at capturing moving images, but dont expect the top of the range spec with the still camera side, I have found the photo's to be adequate snap shots... but not excellent quality pictures. rnMovies can be transferred direct to a pcvia a USB lead, or you can transfer directly onto an independant DVD burner without the need of a PC .rnAccessories such as spare batteries are currently on the costly side, and beware non Panasonic copies may not fit the camcorder.. (A lesson I quickly learnt)rnrnAll in all I would rate this model as 8 out of 10
