Featuring superb optical performance with a focal length covering 24-72mm, this 3x optical zoom lens offers an aperture of f2.5 at the wide angle and f4.4 at the telephoto end and compares favorably to SLR interchangeable lenses. The beauty of a super wide-angle lens allows you to grab stunning panoramic sceneries and breathtaking architecture that tower above. This lens also makes possible macro shooting at distances as close as 1cm. Sensor-based Vibration Correction Function shifts the CCD sensor to counter the effects of camera shake and fast action movements.

The implementation of Ricoh’s Smooth Imaging Engine III image processor brings with it many benefits such as the Noise Reduction feature that can be turned on or off, depending on the need. A large 2.7-inch LCD screen displays images in exceptional resolution and detail with a high 460,000 dots, letting you frame your shots with comforting clarity or view images sharply in playback. The Ricoh GX200 also allows users to shoot in RAW format with continuous shooting of up to five images and shooting in the 1:1 aspect ratio format. For proper focus and exposure, the AE/AF target can be shifted in both macro and normal shooting anywhere on the screen. This function comes in handy when the camera is fixed to a tripod.
