The internet has always been swamped with rumours and wishful thinking for new specs and products. The last few months has seen this become fiercer and if you have not at least heard of the much hoped for D400, then you have probably been seriously neglecting your photography news. From talks of a touch-screen LCD on the next Nikon model to built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, we won’t be surprised if the next set of rumours includes internet browsing and MP3 player as possible features. On a more serious note though, Canon and Nikon’s marketing people are also making the most of it by deliberate and careful dropping of tantalising hints of what is soon to come. Fanboys and expectant users alike all tuning in and joining their voices with feedback which could all be to the good of future releases… even if we are seeing our DSLR cameras turning into some kind of iPhone SLR.
