Hi ross, i have noticed in various wildlife macro photography, that the area directly behind the main subject is black, could you please tell me how this is achieved.

Thanks in advance, Danny.

Why didn't you mentioned bellows?
Due to availability and or not being automatic?

Please resond.
Kind Regards,
Willem van Harrevelt

Thank you for your comment Willem. I didn't mention bellows, purely as they are a more specialised form of extension and, due to their design and lack of manoeuvrability, are not so practical to use when photographing wildlife out in the field
