The red Vespa shot I promised earlier.
Wow thankyou and hello to all the new followers I have had of late. Sorry I have not had a chance to shoot much due to some personal stuff but am I feeling somewhat inspired :) anybody have any ideas? :)
This was taken later in the shoot that I posted up the setup shot for. Waiting for the company to release the red Vespa shots so I can shoe you. :)
Thought you guys might be interested in this.... Hopefully I will be able to release the end results here. Depends on the company...
Another shot from my shoot last week. Natural night. (Shot using the 85mm(f1.8) @ f2, 1/160 at ISO 400. FX body.)
I had planned to do a swimsuit short today. First one for me this summer. Well it turned out to be the most miserable day here, it rained non stop and the wind sounded like it was going to shake everything to pieces. I had the time cleared so I still elected to meet with my model. We were lucky enough that her parents house was available so we shot there. As usual I started with the 60x90 softbox and put her out on the deck. Shots were ok but nothing to write home about. I tried various versions of this and some indoor shots. Nothing was really working for the level i expected. Whilst she was getting ready I wandered around the house again, as i had done earlier that morning, but the light had now changed. One thing about overcast sky is the giant sofbox they can create. I found a beautiful window light and brought her up to it. Now in this image you will see 2 light sources, both are natural. The one that is light HER left is from a wide window about 2m from her. The second is behind me so about 6m in front of her. (Behind me which is a very large window) Give or take this makes about a stop or so difference between the 2. I metered for that main light (fyi my meter was reading 2/3 stop over). Shot using the 85mm(f1.8) @ f2, 1/160 at ISO 400. FX body.
Finally got the chance to get a camera out! For those that remember I spoke earlier in the year about creating a book regarding off camera flash 101. Well I finally got the model I wanted to use and had a morning in the studio to shoot what I needed. All of it is shot the the most basic gear I could find, my original D80, a SB600, silver umbrella and cheap triggers. Now just to get the writing done, wish me luck I'm aiming to the end of the year eek!
Feels like such a long time since I have posted anything anywhere. I have been so busy shooting not very interesting stuff. I finally got around to editing some of the images a shot from some time ago. Thought I might post something up. If you have sent me a message of late, I am working through them and I will get to you!
Sorry for the lack of posts of late. I have been shooting but not a lot I can share just yet, but here is something a little different. Composite image featuring Sarah Stewart. (Just a quick note, Sarah said to say thank you for all the Digitalrev ppl that have visited her site since one of my earlier posts. If you like her work, feel free to follow her on twitter @SarahStewart99 the link to her site etc is there)
The original image was shot in the studio with a key light and some rim lights. Extracted her from the image in CS5 and then added her to the background, added in the wings, glass and bits and pieces. About 5-6 hours of work. There are a couple of things I think I would change if i did it again but I'll think about it. Hope everyone is having a good week!
Just another day on the commute. My baby girl told me I had to take her #ninjago #lego to work with me and take a picture of him. Sorry no setup shot :) #iphone
